Christ calls every member of the church into ministry. Ushers are the ministers of hospitality in the church. The ministry of ushering is one of the most crucial because it is one of the most visible in the church.
The duties of an usher include greeting worshippers as they enter the church,escorting members and guests to their seats, distributing materials related to the service/meeting such as bulletins, handouts, etc and directing individuals out of the service/meeting in an orderly fashion (row by row).
